When trying to uninstall the IBM Director Agent from a server (for example when it is virtualised) the uninstall from Add/Remove programs hangs and doesn't complete.
To remove the Agent:
Uninstall the IBM Director Capacity Manager Agent from Add/Remove Programs if it is installed
Run the following command to uninstall the IBM Director Agent:
"C:\Program Files\IBM\Director\bin\dirunins.exe" agent noreboot verbose
Disable the ASF Agent service as it is not uninstalled correctly
The dirclean utility may also be helpful in uninstalling IBM Director:
IBM provides a utility to completely remove a corrupt install/uninstall of IBM Director. The utility is called DirClean.exe and is part of the IBM Director Support Tools package.
