EdgeSight real-time reports use embedded Excel objects to display report data. By default there are a number of issues that cause data not to be displayed, and to launch as a separate window.

Macros and ActiveX controls must be trusted as per CTX112965.

Authentication to the remote devices must be available as per CTX118478/CTX111046.

The "Browse in same window" option as per CTX111232 is not available on Windows Server 2008 R2, and this must be configured in the registry.

Configure the following registry entry on the the workstation running the report as per MSKB982995.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Excel.Sheet.8]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:80000A00

Close and reopen Internet Explorer.

If prompted with a File Download message uncheck Always ask before opening this type of file and click Open.
