When deploying Windows Server 2019/2022 using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, the deployment may error after installing the operating system:

The same issue is not seen with Windows Server 2016.

For the task sequence tasks of the type Install Updates Offline (typically Apply Patches) set the Selection Profile to Nothing.

Note: There may be multiple tasks that require updated in a single task sequence.
