IMA service does not restart after installing PSE450W2K3R02

Issue

After installing the Presentation Server 4.5 Rollup Hotfix 02 PSE450W2K3R02 on Presentation Server 4.5 Advanced Edition with no Rollup Hotfixes installed the IMA service does not restart with the following errors:

Description: Failed to load initial plugins with error IMA_RESULT_FILE_NOT_FOUND


DSMAINT RECREATERADE from http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX112685 does not resolve the issue.

Resolution

Run the IMA fix CTX113836.vbs from http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX113836

This must be run after installing PSE450W2K3R02 to resolve the issue.

This script removes the RadeSessionSS.dll plugin from HKLM\SOFTWARE\Citrix\IMA\RUNTIME\ProductPlugins which is only available in Enterprise Edition.

This script may also need to be run after applying subsequent hotfixes.
